RE: Is GXI on the mend?

RE: Is GXI on the mend?Hi Beer Run.  I lost money on this one too. I sold out completely just after GXI announced its latest quarterly results.
My selling price was around $1.13, which translated to a 28% loss.Luckily I had some nice gains in other stocks to offset this loss.  I'vefollowed GXI since, and I'm glad I sold when I did.  (i.e. SP hasdropped to <$1 recently).

Although there's been burps and hiccups in the shareprice of late, Ibelieve the market wants some real proof that GXI will be able to enticepassengers to spend BIG on destination related offers such asentertainment and attractions.  This anticipated spending (and therelated commissions to GXI) is what drove the stock price earlier in2010 - but passenger revenue from "big ticket" items has yet tomaterialize in a significant fashion.

I still like the company - but I plan to wait for a little more proofthat there is some significant interest from air travellers towards theinflight purchase of "big ticket" items.  (As Eunice stated in anearlier post - this is where the real revenue would come from).  Also, until the shareprice has formed a definite bottom, I'm inclined to waiton thesidelines.  There's too many other stocks out there that have less riskin them right now.

Good luck to you in 2011!
