As CEO Brett Proud departs, Laurentian maintains buy rating
The departure of Guestlogix (TSX:GXI)CEO Brett Proud won’t have a material impact on the company’s long-term prospects, says Laurentian Bank Securities analyst Mona Nazir.
On Wednesday, Guestlogix announced that Proud had advised the board that, effective immediately, he would retire from his position as CEO and director. A new special committee will begin the search for a new CEO, but in the interim independent director John Gillberry will fill the role.
“As a founder of Guestlogix, it has been a privilege to see the company grow and to lead such a great organization with a strong future,” said Proud. “I want to thank our outstanding employees for their continued hard work, support and dedication. We have built an employee and leadership team that is second to none. I am confident this team is fully capable of continuing our growth and building on our past successes.”
