These banners include Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor, and Off 5th in North America and Galeria Kaufhof, Galeria Inno, and Sportarena in Europe. HBC also has investments in real estate joint ventures. In Canada, it has partnered with RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust in the RioCan-HBC joint venture.

Also, to get this kind of investment for a highly levered business that is part of a (perceived) dying industry is no easy task. This deal is seriously transformative for HBCs financial position.
