RE:KeelerHe already disclosed to the forum that he is holding 10% Long Shares and 90% Short Shares.  Therefore he is under contract to buy (cover the short) for the 90% of his holdings... this is how profits are taken on a Short-Position.

If he can buy the shares (cover) for a lower price than where he took the short out then he profits the difference, if he does it above the price where he took the short out then he takes losses.

The topic of Stock Shorting is very interesting, I really enjoyed researching it. I would never trade short myself as I see the risk being unacceptable hence I trade Long Positions Only.

YouTube actually has some really good videos on the topic.
