Hedge Funds The only way the CEO will be taught a lesson is if 1) the shareholders vote no, as the price is too low or 2) a smart Hege Fund comes in and squeezes the price up. A fair price should start around book value. The current market price is no indication of the true value. It will be interesting to see what their next quarter looks like. The OSC should look to see if there is any earnings suppression, to keep the share price low. Their Auditors will also have to satisfy themselves that there is no earnings suppression.
