RE: RE: BANGING....thread speaks to me, soI'll try to contribute in kind.
Basically, attitude we know nothing is flip side of "somebody else is in control--manipulation." And this stance goes to original posters description of his process for buying and selling and the "drift" of his motivation. He didn't know it at the time, but suspects it now, I think, that "someone" could see his hand before he played it. But how could that be? Of course, the game is rigged!!!!! Cry the CONTANGO! moon-men. Well, it's rigged alright. But we're hanging ourselves in our own rigging. My position is that one must accept that our task is to succeed against apparently impossible odds. But somehow it must be made possible and if you can't do it then you're going to be like most traders. Unsuccessful. Finito. That's why someone said this was a hard game. Question then is what makes you think you can succeed where so many others must (necessarily) fail in this hard game? What do you bring to the game that gives you some edge? Is it the way you buy and sell at just the wrong times that makes you think you're special? Or perhaps it that despite all the evidence to the contrary you just possess unusual tenacity and so will never give up?
Well, I hope someone found this useful. That is, helped you make some money where you otherwise would have lost it. But basically I'm using this forum to clarify the edge I believe I have (despite ever mounting evidence to the contrary!!!) If my thinking is crap then someone may set me straight. So we help each other instead of reinforcing delusional thinking, which seems to be the norm, and I think explains some of our "processes". And I'm still underwater.
