Lowest monthly close was $2.08 in March 2020. That is in jeopardy of being replaced this month by a lower close. Debentures might be worth a shot after the distribution is eventually cut. But a U.S. recession next year could even make AHIP's debt quite risky.

The payout ratio is only 50%. Management has been extremely cautious since covid and built in a cushion here.

Agree they are steadily paying down debt.  The share price makes no sense.

Stocks usually overshoot to the extreme on both ends... that is when common sense goes out the window. We are there now. This has undeservably been taken to the woodshed along with commerical reits.

I'm still not going to average down a third time. I'll just collect the monthly dividend. Hopefully they don't eliminate it altogether though.

Don't blame you for holding off and just waiting it out. Buying individual stocks is high risk and the swings are not easy to digest. I owned SIRI (Sirus/XM) in the $2's, watched it go up to the $9's, sold in the $5's then watched it sink to 10 cents during the financial crises, a period that killed automakers. It recovered back to the $7's although now low $4's. All this ...more
