Hi Tad. It seems to me they were able to maintain the dividend when oil was trading at much lower levels so I hope they will be able to continuing paying the same rate. I am still not sure how much of the dividend paid over the past few years was return of capital as I only purchased a few units over the past few months. barbados2016

FWIW I spoke with someone from HPF yesterday and was informed the company will no longer announce its monthly dividend for the year each Nov. Instead they will do what most companies do and announce the dividend each month. November's dividend announcement should be early next week. (I think I got it right lol) barbados2016

My understanding is the ETF was paying a 7% dividend when it first began trading a few years ago. Not sure why they would not want to maintain this level since the payout remained the same while the price of oil tanked two years ago. HPF may have the added bonus of a stronger oil price going forward as well. barbados2016
