RE:RE:Dividend means nothing

RE:RE:Dividend means nothing@scottie I follow the markets and all the comapnies I hold a stake in every day. The analyst ratings mean nothing. They are wrong as often as right, and the company's responsibility is to shareholders, not them. I maintain that a token dividend increase won't be sufficient to attract any large investors back to the stock and will have minimal impac tot he stock price. The company has done a decent job getting back to a stronger financial position and leaner operation. Oil markets are set to recover after several years of underinvestment. HSE continues to invest in production and refining, and announced expansions of White Rose and Liwan ng.Those are the right things to do at this juncture. A sahre buyback or special one-time dividend would reward long-time shareholders in the short term and growth would attract new ones over the longer term. That's what I want to see after years of patiently riding out this weak commodity market that has only just begun a new long run upwards. So far HSE has been takinig all the right steps imo. I hope they keep doing that first and foremost Substantial and regular dividends can come afterwards when oils back at 90+.
