Consider the 'trust' management gains in the market from deliverying on their strategic plan, or the difficult organizational changes made in the last years to underpin the balance sheet and position HSE for growth in a low oil price environment. The swing in share price is not a factor of trust, but a reassessment of investors on the value proposition but forward by management.
Spills, accidents, and fires doe and will continue to happen ... it is the inevitable result of decisions to balance risk. It is a legitimate point to criticize management for its risk profile, but to conclude that it leads to a severe issue of lack of trust (to the extent of Nortel's implosion) is to ignore reality as well as how HSE management has been extremely responsive to each of the three issues (Maidstone spill, SeaRose suspension, and Superior fire) you have raised in recent diatribes.
