Scottie99 wrote: Thanks Eigen for bringing your perspective to the HSE BB, I observed you have been busy on the MEG BB as a shareholder of the company.

The irony is that HSE minority shareholders were not consulted for the MEG deal and they cannot do a damn thing about it. You on the other hand as a MEG shareholder can vote to accept or reject HSE deal, which is what Eric Nuttall and now the other funds for MEG are doing, saying the $11 offer is no starter. So your view about the fair value of MEG against HSE offer should be interesting!

Sharing your take on the value of MEG would give the HSE minority shareholders a closer look at the stake for MEG based on the offer by HSE BoD for the company. That is the difference between a company with a single majority shareholder and a company with multiple shareholders that each one need to agree for any major thing to happen such as this deal. The general sentiment among MEG shareholders is that HSE would sweeten the deal but any sweetener is an additional cost to HSE and the question is if they can afford it.

Also, what happens if MEG reject the deal and no bidder comes along, would MEG have an opportunity loss for rejecting HSE deal? Your analysis below just confirmed what I observe from the company's financials that MEG BoD seems to be doing well to keep the company financially healthy. So why change a BoD when they are performing unless the shareholders are given an offer they can't refuse and the $11 IMHO is not it!

So, demanding higher bid but refuse to let the buyer to see the dataroom is hypocritical, something like you huh? Do u know why the previous meg CEO/BOD/co-founder quit? Why 'retire' when he is so close to bringing in record production and achieving company grand milestone?

You criticized hse BOD for not letting minority shareholder to vote on the bid but you praised meg BOD for ignoring their fiduciary duty to their shareholders by not exploring all means to maximizing company value. Hypocrite is your middle name scottie.
