It is certainly disconcerting to see sudden drop the last three days. The only possible concern that had been alluded to on BNN a few months ago was the possibility of political interference that scuttled the MEG takeover. This was mere speculation of course, but Lee Ka Shing is based in Hong Kong so there may be some peripheral Chinese influence, who really knows?

This is by all accounts a highly defensive name so I can't see much more downside from here. Being an integrated operation, they are far less susceptible to fluctuating oil prices. I have added to my position and will certainly purchase more if it declines further. The sale of their gas stations should also be a positive catalyst.
