RE: CPI negative, S&P surges. Unfortunatly there was nothing too shocking today about the steap decline of hvu today. The gains yesterday i think were a little too artificial due to the market being in a downward slide combined with the boston bombs that went off. If you looked at the qucik upward movement yesterday, it coincided roughly with when the bombs went off, as speculators were expecting a market panic situation. Well that just did not happen to that extreme degree, and thus the price went back down to where it had been rougly trading before all the madness happened yesterday.
Now seems a little oversold, so could be a good entry point. But you never know with this commodity at it has shown to trade on it's own whim it seems from time to time.
Glad i sold out of HVU yesterday at $8.80. used the profits to buy hgu and hou at the close yesterday, and sold both today for nice gains. Rule of thumb, don't hold etfs too long. Better to have a little profit day to day, then huge losses, or holding the bag long in uncertain market conditions.
