It would be one opinion of the tech analysis. The problem with it and IMO the problem with your outlook is you're looking at the security, and not what the security tracks. 

All tech analysis should be done on the underlying security that is being tracked because HVU tracks a future (VIX Future), that tracks a security (VIX Index), which tracks the relative inverse, of another index (S&P). We've got a whole line of nonsense financial instruments in mucking up the relationship between HVU and the S&P which is the most effective explanation I can give for the varying accuracy of HVU on the S&P.


VIX didn't budge for about the last 60 points of the S&P move up so don't be surprised if it doesn't budge if that 60 point move is erased. Market is unsure because we're at the top, it needs some momentum to get the price action moving.
