Since May sounds like a long time. I can’t imagine holding this more than one month or so. The toil of constantly checking it daily and seeing nothing but red is just too much. A good “green” day is when it drops less than 4%, but those are rare days.
I too bought it being greedy expecting the sky to be the limit and thinking HVI is too slow and boring, but boy was I wrong! 40% haircut wrong in 3 weeks.
Looks like you got out at a “good” price for this week. I should have gotten out a few days ago nearer 7 but held on waiting for that move up which never came. How much lower could it go? The answer is forever lower, 5% a day.
Been holding since 9 and got out 2/3 today at 5.7, the rest I’ll dump tomorrow morning no matter the price. I’ll take a HOD position shorting oil with the 1/3 left and hold into September, hopefully oil goes sub 40. If the markets crash in the fall I’ll get some HVI or oil stocks for sure with the other 2/3. But never going to touch HVU ever again. The chart looked promising in early July but the reality was very, very different since.
Let this be a warning for anyone still holding. Sell while you still can, the HVU pain will only get worse in the August weeks ahead. Sell Friday before the next gaps down in the next weeks. I’m dumping the rest Friday AM.
Will there be a market crash and huge correction…YES. But when is the question? Maybe this fall near elections or after? Maybe when FED hikes in September or December. Let’s hope the FED hikes in September then stocks and commodities will come tumbling down in an epic fall. I think the chances of a FED hike in September are high and depend on the Friday jobs report. If not TRUMP might win and replace the FED altogether.

Tomorow US & Canadian job report could do it but it's far from being done ...
For my part, i loosed(not realized) 21 653,85 $ on this stock but when i buy it, i knew it's was a get-rich or lost big so i deal with it... And if this is not done when trump get elected, i put a sale on break even and forgot it.
