as far as cash sitting on sidelines ..well they will not buy on an overbought / borderline peaking market.
they the wise will wait for lows,this being said S&P may have legs to 2050 or so but ,the market does what it does.
As far as your comment " traders always get burnt eventually" not so if you trade with system and knowledge, like any job it requires work and experience helps,.

thanks flipher, and yes you are right trading is not for everyone but is a job and takes knowledge and experience like anything in life, i am not a risk driven person so i tend to not risk as much as the next person, I like stability but place small bets now and again, hence this ETF
