I have to admit I have learned a lot (the hard way) on this ETF. Mayor has made a lot of valid points.  The opposite would be the case if VIX was rising long term. Short term would likely outperform long term VIX. That won’t happen any time soon. We need crash/bear market for that happen. We are not there (yet). That would mean bullish for equities. The market has already priced in the QE.

Yes, when there are headlines of anything concerning QE, the usual response is gains in equities. And i was referring to the weakening of the yen in response to the QE.

If Japan going crazy with a 265 billon US QE, wouldn't you think the S&P will be pushed way up ? How about the volicty of the buying witch would kill HVU. Then with the triple top on the S&P the fed are probably wanting it to push threw the top. Pipe dream if you think the markets will crash in an election year. I lost on hvu this week.
