Big FISH Food for Thought . . .From APACHE OIL website . . .
In 2012, the North Sea Region produced 64,000 barrels per day (Bpd) and 57 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd), contributing 16 percent of Apache’s worldwide production revenue, 10 percent of worldwide production and six percent of year-end estimated proved reserves. The region’s production was 36 percent higher compared to the prior year on production from the recently acquired Beryl field assets and an active drilling program in both the Forties and Beryl fields. A total of 21 wells were drilled in the North Sea, of which 16 were productive. Two of the highest producing wells were the Beryl B72 well, which commenced production in May at a rate of 11.6 thousand barrels per day (MBpd) and 13.1 MMcfd, and the Beryl B73 well, which was completed in September with an initial rate of 8.2 MBpd and 5.9 MMcfd. Apache has a 55 percent net interest in the Beryl field as of year-end.
