TD - A TOTAL BASKET CASE

TD - A TOTAL BASKET CASERecently, I was an executor & had to settle a sizeable estate. Dealing with financial accounts, pensions and investment holdings at all major institutions was fairly straight-forward except for those that were managed or held at TD. Their customer service was so awful, it truly defied description. The TD portion of the estate has dragged on for over 1.5 years and many simple issues still remain unresolved. As a TD customer myself and as of April 27th, 2021, I was not shocked to see that neither my IAU shares nor my EQX shares were deposited into my trading accounts. TD removed my PG's shares and reduced their value to zero without any explanation about the new shares owing. This is inexcusable behavior for a major Canadian bank/finacial institution. This entire experience has left me with no other option but to transfer all of my business & holdings elsewhere. It will take some effort as I have been a client of TD for almost five decades. I will not put my hiers through the absolute BS I have had to endure. Ask around, as I have been doing, and you will find the story I have just outlined here regarding TD, is not a unique one. It is not like the financial institutions were all bad in some way. Oh, no,no. TD was uniquely off the charts TERRIBLE. There is no going back!
