deduced from IFP press: April's earnings: $1.94/shr
In the press release IFP said cash was up $137 MM. Subtract $30 MM / 3 = $10 MM for depreciation and depletion in April, and we can estimate they earned $127 MM net, or $1.94/share net income.
Of course working capital and a lots of other things will impact too. The fact they actually stated how much their cash increased strongly suggestsing the origin is earnings - othewise why bother to tell us, or pay a dividend ? It also seems unlikley working capital would have decreased as they try to increase production.
Avg April futures were up 31% from the Q1 average to around U$ 1182 vs approx. U$ 900 for Q1.
Futures are now at U$1600 / mo. - up about 77% vs Q1, althouth the C$ is increasing a bit too.
IFP should be able to make C$ 9 / shr net income in Q2, maybe even a dollar or so more.
