11:47 AM EDT, 04/10/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Interfor Corp. (IFP.TO) over the weekend said it has updated its diversity target for its board of directors amid its ongoing director succession process.

The company, which at last look gained 2.1% in early Monday trading, committed that at least 30% of its board members will be women by its next annual general meeting of shareholders in 2024.

Interfor said the sole reason it could not revert to this new commitment at the upcoming May 2023 AGM was the unexpected availability of one of its women board members for reelection for personal reasons.
