Apparently there is at least one name known in the DRC Congo for Lidar mapping , who has been there for years doing work for mining companies and carbon projects etc. It is Southern Mapping Company out of South Africa. They even have someone from the DRC on the management team. They use advanced technology are partnered with Airbus and Digital Globe and others, certified by many organizations and done work for some major companies all over Africa. The list of people that have paid them is long and included the World Bank.
According to the info "Since 2007 we have completed over 650 projects in forty countries for the government, mining, urban development, environmental and infrastructure segments and have worked extensively across Africa"
