Excellent News for Innergex, a Quebec Company

Last week, Quebec’s Minister of Economy and Energy, Pierre Fitzgibbon, discussed potentially doubling the electric production capacity by 2050. He mentioned creating more partnerships with private companies in a meeting with Hydro-Qubec’s union representatives. The goal is to increase Quebec’s electricity production to 200 TWh, which would double Hydro-Qubec’s current capacity.

While there were initial concerns about a shift towards privatization in the energy sector, this could open opportunities for Quebec companies like Innergex. Notably, these new objectives have seen an increase from earlier projections.

Considering these developments, the Quebec government potentially eyeing companies like Innergex for partnerships is exciting news for the local industry.
