Ecuador Election Results

Any insight...not sure exactly if it was a win for mining companies yesterday however, I think Yaku Perez coming third is a good thing...comments?

Yaku Perez is the Bernie Sanders of Ecuador.  He attracts the radicals, but he will never actually win.  His policies would be a disaster for Ecuador.   Andrs Arauz got 32% of the vote.  Radical nut job Yaku Prez and conservative banker Guillermo Lasso both have about 20%.  Andrs Arauz should win the run off easily no matter who comes in 2nd.    Arauz is ...more

It looks like there will be a run off between Andres Arauz radical nut job Yaku Perez.  Andres Arauz should win easily, but there will be some uncertainty until the election on April 11. Arauz is somewhat socialist, but he needs money to pay for his social programs.  His policies should be okay for mining.
