RE:RE:RE:IPL Communication

RE:RE:RE:IPL Communication

first to market is a big advantage, PPL might still cancel their polymer plant if they see plastic supply is sufficient in forseeable future.

I'm not unhappy that ipl diversified into plastic and NGL (stripping) processing. There will be ample of cheap NGL from shale gas for 100+ years.  Converting cheap over supply propane into a high value plastic product is a smart business venture.

MOJOJONO wrote: Actually, PPL deferring (not cancelling) their PP plant is good news for IPL, likely better if PPL did cancel theirs. IF Heartland is completed and on time then IPL will be even more ahead of the game.

If PPL did cancel, I wonder what would happen to the royalty credits they accrued... hmm...

While I would somewhat agree about the "plastics" not being part of their business, it is an extension of Natural Gas Liquids Processing. The uncertainty is of course this is new, but it fits in nicely with their NGL. Technically, their lines of business expanded to NGL processing when they acquired Williams Canada back in Aug 2016. Heartland was part of the original plans by Williams Canada. https://www.interpipeline.com/news/news-releases.cfm?newsReleaseAction=view&releaseId=1006

As for comparing to Petrobakken....
