You forget that that American forces protect S Arabia, without which they would have their oil production facilities destroyed.
You forget that North American can be self sufficient in their energy needs, mandatory pricing, introducing tariffs On offshore oil, would mean that OPEC would have an extra 5 million barrels per day to find new markets for while at the same time funding its budgets.
Trump holds all the cards here.
This is not the 70s.
North America is fully energy self sufficient
