RE:What happens if you do not tender shares to Brookfield.

RE:What happens if you do not tender shares to Brookfield. If you don't tender your shares to Brookfield they will not be counted in the tender offer for Brookfield.

If Brookfield gets more than 55% tendered shares then they have to offer you the same deal again anyway.

If Brookfield doesn't get the 55% tendered shares.  Then IPL remains IPL.

You can do nothing for awhile.  IPL's management will not tender your shares for you.

Beattheodds wrote: Just got a recorded phone call from Brookfiield saying that the deadline is fast approaching.  What happens if you do not tender shares to Brookfield before deadline?  If one wants all cash does one have to contact his or her broker or does the all cash offer or one other others offers, get triggered automatically?  Is there any advantage to tendering early if one is not concerned about the tax implications?
Hope someone out there can clarify above for me.    Thanks in advance,
