Antonyius wrote: Well I guess that's why by rescinding the tendered shares the shareholders can hope to wrestle back control of the company. With that said I don't think the let down management team is really fighting for us anymore and they're all looking at their exit parachutes with fat payouts. Disclaimer: sold half my shares for ppl, but kept the remaining IPL shares untouched.

The IPL Board performed an outstanding job for their shareholders after the hostile takeover was launched.  They conducted a transparent sales process, obtained a higher bid, fought Brookfield at ASC (and won). The end result was that Brookfield was forced to significantly increase the bid from $16.50 to $20. It is clear that the shareholders have now decided to accept the Brookfield offer.
My message to the misguided posters who feel that IPL can go it alone - Good Luck!
