RE:RE:Anonymous busy accumulating IVNRick Rule in March 2013 recommended IVN at $4.04 to be a buy. This was mostly based on the Ivanplats deposit which is the best Platinum discovery on earth in the last 80 years. A very thick and shallow deposit that based on its structure will allow for full mechanized mining which is rare. Once this thing starts producing, you will have the lowest cost platinum mine in South Africa. Platinum spot prices will take off once China booms again and needs to clean its air, so lots of hydrogen fuel cars and HVAC systems will use the catalytic converter which needs more platinum than previous generations of cars. Incidentally, the Japanese consortium bought a chunk of Ivanhoe at 2.00, presumably because they want to shore up access to the metal for Toyota hydrogen fuel cell cars they are rolling out to Asia over the next decade or so.
so a 50% return from Ricks 2013 buy recommendation would be $6.06. Based on today's price, that would be a 947% return, or almost a ten-bagger. Totally doable.
Unsure, Need more value?
Youre getting a 75% discount to what the Japanese government paid if you buy at today's prices. You're getting the Komoa copper deposit for free, along with Kipushi, the best zinc mine in the world. You'll get the best mining promoter and deal broker over the last 30 years to develop them and run the company for you. He mentored Steve Jobs of Apple by the way, but whatever. What else can we throw in....oh yeah! As a bonus, you get a very talented exploration and drilling team at no cost, because hey, they found Komoa, and Ivanplats...chances are they may find another deposit somewhere else. They keep expanding the size and scope of the mines they already have as well.
Call me crazy, but it's a buy. Hold it for 6 years it will be worth substantially more
