Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. is a Canada-based mining, development, and exploration company. It is focused on the mining, development and exploration of minerals and precious metals from its property interests located primarily in Africa. Its projects include Kamoa-Kakula Complex, Western Foreland, Kipushi and Platreef. The Kamoa-Kakula Complex project is a stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, approximately 25 kilometers (kms) west of the town of Kolwezi and approximately 270 kms west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. The 17 licenses in the Western Foreland cover a combined area of 2,407 square kilometers to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. The Kipushi Project lies adjacent to the town of Kipushi and 30 kms southwest of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. Its Platreef project is situated approximately eight km from Mokopane and 280 km northeast of Johannesburg, South Africa.

RE:RE:RE:RE:For the soft bashers hereNot really surprised by anything on  the call or the stock today other then they sound like they are serious about pushing phase 4 at k&k ahead of schedule.  Electrical issues seem to be dealt with up until and including phase 4 and smelter fire up with a lot of redundencies ( some more expensive than others)  Expansion beyond that requires further power expansion.  ( WF)

Stock giving some gains back as expected.  Actually thought it would roll back further after its last test at 20 but it never got into the 17's like many expected.  A 60 % move up in 4 months on a company this large is pretty aggressive. Saying that, the redemption of the bonds is also adding to short term weakness along with a selloff in CU pricing today.  Hopefully we get some consolidation in the 18's before more news comes in the coming months.  Pretty exciting stuff.
