That does not look like 68% - looks more like >86% completeness. I think we will already be in production a bit sooner than July.

Don't get fooled by the big equipment that is installed. They have a long way to go and the last 10% seems to take forever. They must have ultra low wages at the site as one of the pictures shows them installing electrical cable in trays and they must have 30 men on that cable pull. It looks like they just hand bomb the install as labour costs do not seem to bother the electrical contractor ...more

Chinese running the show is good news. Corruption and  incompetance by some Congo government people looking to stall progress and shake the project down for bribes, etc. will not be allowed.

I remember in an interview with RF a few months ago he mentioned that the Chinese wanted to build this mine faster and faster but he was putting the brakes to it for I believe quality and safety. RF still has a say on this build. As I said this build does look first class in many ways. They are following a schedule that is updated a few time a day and if they say first concentrate will be ready to ...more

wasn't refering to who builds it. there is a reason many investors were steering clear of investing in the Congo and its unreliable gov't. he may know the game but there is nothing he can do if the Congo gov't decides to get more involved and take the property or a bigger cut. The Chinese are the muscle needed to protect this investment. A Canadian can't grease any palms to keep ...more
