dips

I knew it would fall and rise. Lots of people knew.  Every IVN dip has been followed by a rapid rise back to near the year high where it sits for a few weeks then dips.  It has happened at least a dozen times. this is peculiar to IVN but the facts are there in the graphs. SMEGMA you are just too anal to acknowledge someone bested you.

It sounds good .but I got a stupid question...please take it easy on me ...I'm a novice..as such I've been holding ..just not sure of the tax implications when I sell off at a profit of $975000 then buy back again at a lower price to make a few bucks.   I understand  tax loss selling and buy back after so many days ... but does the same hold true when you're selling at a ...more

half of my IVN is in my TFSA and RRSP. that the stocks I sell and buy. my main bag in my bank invedting account, I never touch

Yep   You've made a profit , taxable in 2023. Your new shares have a taxable cost of what you have paid, or you add the cost to the cost of existing shares and divide by new number of shares to find the taxable cost.
