CAN RAILWAY TRACKS CONDUCT ELECTRICITY ?

Yes.
Iron Fish Plates adjoin the rails together.
Low current on standard rails supply electricity to function, switches.

Question becomes...
Could one utilize standard rail tracks  -  transport electricity to mining projects,
saving considerble monies - averting the costs to build new pole power lines ?

Low current is known to exist in standard rails.
Existing rails act the part of, electrical pole lines.
Could additional current be added / rail amplified in which to transport distant electricity
from other regions whereby ( miner ) stores in battery banks ?
