Why would they want to buy shares?  As a previous poster noted, they are getting paid $1 million a year whatever happens.  Probably heading for a reorg.

Excuse my ignorance but insiders aren't jumping into what? I have a feeling the answer explains the the latest beating the stock took.

It's slang for insiders aren't buying shares.  If the insiders believed in the company, they would be buying many shares at these low prices.

The drop may have been done to trigger a margin call or stop loss to pick up shares at low price. Many reits are paying 10% dividend these days, so they need to reinstate at least 1 cent per month dividend for this stock to start increasing. If that was the case, insiders would be buying. If insiders think share buyback is the best used of company money, then they should also buy lots of shares ...more

Yeah that's a good point. I'd like to think it's because they're not flush after these brutal years but then I saw Scott White is making over a million a year.  It's still hard to believe that a company with a billion in real estate assets is worth $40 million dollars. It was worth $100 million when I bought.  I thought it was great value but you know what they say ...more
