RE:Bankruptsy?

RE:Bankruptsy?
Oiltar ... are you out or shorting?  All gold stocks are dropping - such is to be expected when the gold price sinks.  If anything is to happen to Kinross it is likely a more appealing takeover target.

What is your basis for suggesting Russia will nationalize Kinross' mines?   I'm not sure how you jump to concerns of nationalization ... but I will agree there are likely several chapters to go in the Ukraine matter.    There is no indication that Russia will respond in kind to industry wide santions - should the West implement such a third round.  From what I have read it seems that the Russian foriegn ministry has indicated the exact opposite.  Nationalizing the mining section would be an escalation far greater than any sanctions.

Furthermore, all indications suggest Kinross has possitive and productive relations in Russia.  Their Russian mines have extremely low per ounce production costs which are geographically isolated from the unrest on Russia's western border.
