Word to me is the female Federal judge in New Orleans threw out JP Morgan and Barrick Gold’s motion to dismiss in the Blanchard Coin lawsuit concerning gold price manipulation. It means the case is going to discovery and Morgan and Barrick will have to answer questions under oath about gold price-fixing. YES!
This is no minor deal. It was a major objective of GATA’s Reg Howe in his case against The Gold Cartel in Boston Federal Court. While Reg’s case was thrown out on a technicality due to legal standing issues, the judge did not have one disparaging remark to make about Reg. He only said a gold producer or gold company should take the case forward as they were more injured parties. One has, Blanchard. Congrats to them.
Once into discovery, Blanchard should be able to get into issues which could shake up the entire gold world. More details should follow during the week.
