RE:RE:Anyone hear back from management? Keep hammering them!Update: Just talked with John and thanks to his patience, I have a better understanding of the initial mineral reserve estimate.
He was gracious with his time and was easy to talk to and understand. The bulk of my discussion was focused on the recent mineral reserve estimate and how the market responded to it. Here's my take on the key points:
1. KLDX stated they would provide an intiatial estimate in the 2nd Qtr and they did.
2. "My" take, with a lot of insight / education from John, is that the selling we have seen was due to institutional / money market funds who overacted to the numbers. More specifically, The recently released numbers were lower than the estimates that Great Basin Gold had issued years ago. KLDX did what you or I would do - they took a conservative view of the information until they do more of their own assessments / drilling of the area. That's what they have to do - for credibility reasons as well as legal, etc... I can live with that. I disagree with their those analysts / mgrs who sold, but I understand it. I think they will change their viewpoint after they realize that differences in those numbers are insignificant in the big picture. (probably after the 2nd qtr numbers start getting released)
3.) Since John was responsible for the announcement, I want to publicly apologize to him. I was off-base and overly harsh with my "communications" concern. John is a good guy, is constantly looking for ways to better communicate to a variety of backgrounds (analysts, shareholders, etc..with each having a different frame of reference/background which they use to assess things from) In case you are wondering, no John didn't call me out on any of my comments or views. In this case, as Fonzi (Happy Days) once said : " I was WRRRRR . . WRRRR . . not exactly right !" When that happens, I say I was wrong.
I will save the take-over concerns some of us have for another update (probably after I hear back from Paul.)
Bottom line: I stand by my prior coments /position. It is highly undervalued, should remain a buy-the dip opportunity & and I will continue to take advantage of any lower prices that we see to buy more.
