O.T. - Summer Solstice - Stonehenge - Reedeming a Warrant

O.T. - Summer Solstice - Stonehenge - Reedeming a Warrant
Druids, and other ‘magic’ peoples [my crowd], still celebrate the ancient pre-Christian holidays.
As usual, we were two days late getting [ taking the train from London] to Stonehenge.
The crowed had gone, but the ground still vibrated magic.
So as usual, Happy Summer Solstice.
Actually, this is not so cool, as I don’t recall the Druid name for this day.
-
Actually the world famous medium, Rose, simply said that when you get to London, stay at my house. So we stayed there for a few weeks.
She simply left us the keys.
It seems otherworldly that we were trusted that much.
She was out of the country the whole time.
-
Rose has a place in the hamlet of Lilly Dale [the world's largest spiritualist community] in New York, about an hour west of Buffalo.
-
“The Lily Dale Assembly, a community of registered mediums and Spiritualists, opened the gates of its 160-acre town to visitors on June 29.”
-
It's almost unreal, 275 registered mediums live in this one place.
In England, you have to demonstrate your abilities before a board to get registered.
It is kind of like getting a driver’s license.
If you cannot pass this certification, you cannot live in Lilly Dale
-
Hopefully, down the road, you can get yourself a reading.
-

-
It has been a difficult week for me.
By some miracle, I became aware that our Northern Dynasty [NDM] Warrant had to be redeemed by July 9, in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.
-
I have not seen it for five years and I had no idea where it was.
[ It was a private placement incentive. ]

It specified that we could purchase shares for $0.55.
The price of an NDM share is currently more than $2.00.
That warrant certificate is worth more than $30,000.
-

-
I panicked, so I asked our neighbor, Karin, to come over to help us find it.
Karin is a gift, as she seems to enjoy going through things.
We could not find it in the safe or anywhere downstairs.
After a couple of hours, we were about to give up.
Karin ventured upstairs to the study, and almost immediately found it.
Whose statue, hiding from ANTIFA, is at the entrance of the study?
It is a statue of Saint Anthony, the patron saint of finding lost things.
Thank you St. Anthony. Thank you Karin.
The next day we went out for a hundred-dollar celebration dinner.
Karin gave me a father's day card?????

We are a British Columbian [BC] Corporation, but since we are American citizens, there are some worms. Such as, our BC Corporation is not allowed to have a Canadian brokerage account.
If we were of any other nationally, we would not have a problem.
If things were reversed, not allowing an American corporation, with a Canadian president, to open an account, it would be totally against the law. To pick out one nationality, to discriminate against, violates “equal protection under the law,” a very basic American principle.
-
Does Canadian law operate on any principles?
-
So for us, things are a bit strange.
We can acquire stock certificates and put them in the safe.
But there is no mechanism for disposing of these certificates, it is a one way street.
On the brighter side, since it is ‘impossible’ for us to receive any income from the sale of our stock certificates, we have never paid any taxes in this century.
-
We just get richer and richer but there is no mechanism to spend any of it, our corporation doesn’t even have a bank account.
-
So what comes next, how to we exercise our warrant?
We are supposed to send them to Cashier’s check.
Where do we send it?
I called NDM, but nobody knew anything about it.
They said to send it to Computershare in Vancouver.
I called Computershare in Vancouver.
Do I make the check out to NDM or Computershare?
Nobody knew the answer.
-
They referred me Computershare in Toronto.
The lady, on a very bad connection, seemed to know about it, but when I asked if I was to make out the check to NDM or to Computershare, she didn’t know.
-
Dealing with Canadians about stuff like this will make you pull out your hair and talk like a sailor.
-
I am beginning to understand what Doug Casey meant when he said,
“If you want to know how to operate in Canada, don’t ask a Canadian.”
Other have advised that Canadians have no idea what Americans are talking about.
Keep your mouth shut, because they may become ‘suspicious’ of you.
Beware. You are trying to deal with another species.
-
I am so sorry, please erase the previous paragraph.

After not getting a strait answer from about seven people, in three locations, my call was transferred to a man who said, make the check out to NDM.
Finally a strait answer, make the check out to NDM.
It actually makes sense.
-
Now our difficulties are still not over.
I called my US Bank, one of America's top five.
I said that I needed a Cashier’s check in Canadian dollars.
They laughed at me for thinking such a thing was possible.
-
By the way, I asked one of the above Canadians it there was a way that I could send them a Cashiers check for an equivalent amount of US dollars instead.
Now get this.
She said that an US dollar check would be accepted only if it were for exactly for the same amount of US dollars as Canadian dollars.
That is if I owed them C$10,000, they could accept a check for US$10,000.
They would not accept a check for US$7,400, the current exchange rate.
We went back and forth about this until I finally gave up.
Forgive me, but I have to wonder about what is the IQ of the so-called Canadian species.
I am almost terrified to talk to most Canadians about anything that is not totally mundane.
-
Our Treasure has an account at Wells Fargo.
It is a rare branch that provides some currency exchange services.
I called and the man said that they could do it, but it would take three days.
Today, Tuesday morning, we showed up at the bank.
We went to the manager and told him that we needed a cashier’s check in Canadian dollars.
He told me that they couldn’t do such a thing.
I kind of went into the riot act saying that a previous manager said that they could, and that I why we traveled all the way over here.
Thank God that he wasn’t a Canadian.
He said that he would look into it.
I sat there terrified that we would have to fly to Vancouver, Canada.
-
He came back and said that there was a way we could do it.
Perhaps the fact that we keep half a million in the bank may have helped.
He withdrew some  money from our account.
He said that the check would be on his desk in three days and we could come and pick it up.
-
-
Thank God we are finally beginning to see the light.
-
It has been a hard week for me, I worried so much that I gained ten pounds.
-
-
Actually there is, from an interstellar point of view, there is a more significant day than the Winter and Summer solstice.
That is Perihelion day, the day the earth’s orbit is closest to the Sun [91,402,500 miles] and
Aphelion day, the day the earth’s orbit is furthest from the Sun [94,509,100 miles].
-
This year Perihelion day was on January 5 and
Aphelion day will be on July 4.
It's another excuse for fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Oddly, in the northern hemisphere, we are three million miles further from the Sun in the Summer than we are in Winter.
-
-
In closing, a slightly late Happy Solstice Day and early Happy Aphelion Day.
-
-
But for RJ, it is an even happier event.
Today is the first day our junior gold mining portfolio closed above $333,333.33.
That is we closed above 1/3 million dollars.
-
It has been a long battle back up from losing more than a million dollars in 2008.
But we are enthusiastically climbing back up, a ten thousand-dollar unit at a time.
-
Knock on wood!
