Kambalda province has produced 1.6 million tons of nickel

Kambalda province has produced 1.6 million tons of nickelSo, since Nickel was discovered in 1966 in the province of Kambalda, 1.6 million tons have been produced by different companies up till 2020 including the different operators at Beta Hunt...The interesting thing is that the average grade has been 3.1% nickel...Very economical grades all over the place.. Compared to Dumont's .28% nickel , it is very rich grade. I was checking out the feasibility study for Mincor and it looks like , their AISC will be around $6900 US/ tonne of nickel ( 3.13$/ pound)... Krr's AISC may be somewhat lower because of their ability to use the already existing underground infrastructure which should equate to much cheaper extraction costs, plus the fact that the BHP nickel concentrator is only 5 kms away from Beta Hunt...I was reading a 2016 report on Beta Hunt and it stated that the 2016 year cost of replicating the underground infrastructure with it's 8 km long winding ramp which ultimately reaches a total depth of 900 metres below surface plus 400 kms of underground roads etc. would cost between 300 million$ and 500 million$ . So, Krr is very fortunate to have inherited all that expensive infrastructure for free...the cost of replication is probably more like 400 million$ to 600 million $ in 2021..I was looking at historic nickel reserves for Beta Hunt and the highest I saw ( from I think 2006) was about 36,000 tonnes of nickel which had an average grade of 4.4% nickel..Of course since then some of that nickel has been mined so is gone...but with the new 30C and 50C discoveries we are looking like we are going to be headed back to having 30 thousand plus tons of nickel again... I am hoping for much more than that however as they drill out Beta in the coming months and years...
