RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:It may have begun Don't be fooled into believing that inflation is under control. It'll be with us for a while, especially given the government's inability to allow any real financial pain. We need a thorough washing to bring folks back to their senses. Here's a sliver of anecdotal data for you- My wife's friend is paying 2700 a month in childcare for 2 kids. that's twice our mortgage and we live in a nice part of town- 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house. Granted, it was a 3 and 1 when we moved here and I do all the work myself, but few people these days are willing to put in the effort and demonstrate the patience required to be able to cash in like we do when we sell years later. Most folks now seemed to be trapped in a cycle of accepting endlessly higher prices and relying upon endlessly higher pay rather than finding ways to cut expenses, rejecting the attempts of others to perpetuate the vicious cycle. I guess it's just a different way of looking at the world but it's one which I cannot abide.
That's my point in all of this- easy money begets more easy money as long as there's another idiot behind you in line. But eventually the easy money dries up and the line disappears. None of us know when or how it will happen, but it will. There's no magic printing press folks, ours is based on the same false promises as many other past failed states.
