Question about BRICS+I thank those who spoke on the BRICS+ conference.
I brought it up to question world trends. I hope that I didn't make a value judgement of China vs USA, or India vs. Russia. It's possible that I did.
I believe that the world is fracturing, after two or three generations of American hegemony. Again, I am not interested in the value judgement: I can discuss that with my buddies at the local coffee shop.
Forgetting about value judgement, I was trying to understand what the decrease in American domination means for the world economy, in the next year, 5 years, 10 years.
It's happening. There is a slow and steady movement away from American hegemony to something else. What I believe to be right or wrong about it won't change its movement or direction. I wish I could.
And, if America gets its act together it may continue to dominate. Right now, it has an internal conflict that is awful.
Anyway, I think that in general, recession is coming, the usd index may increase because the world runs to the strength of the dollar in times of stress, or decrease because of forces such as BRICS.
There is some logic for gold to increase in value, over time. There is some logic for gold to decrease because of interest rates, long term value of money, etc.
On this board, there is some validity to speaking of world events and the impact on gold. However, I apologize if I set off a fire-storm of political commentary and discussion on which countries are morally superior to others. I have opinions about that, but those don't belong here.
It appears to me that gold has broken a month long trend and that it is heading higher and this move should help the share price of krr.
