RE:RE:RE:A study in tyrany and despotism Pandora,
Nice to hear some personal reminiscenses. I happen to be with the class of 46. The first of the baby boomers.
Life did seem relatively trouble free growing up. Many say that every generation looks back with fond memories of 'The good old days".
No way that I intend to create a list of what I find objectionable in this day and age. For one thing, the list would be too long, but for some, these will become the good old days.
Suffice to say that we could all go on identifying the ills that we feel plague society at this time in history.
To the point, I came across a philosophical gem recently that is helping to keep my blood pressure under control.
One of my problems is that I pay too much attention to the news. I often find it irritating to say the least. I know of some if not many that in fact prefer to reside in a state of perpetual ignorant bliss.
The coping mechanism that was suggested is to CONDEMN the behavior, opinion or whatever it is that we find objectionable, while realizing at the same time that in all likelihood there is not a darn thing we can do about it.
This tends to help me come to a place of acceptance. It's not always easy, but I try.
I don't really want it to end. After all, these are very interesting times, and I'd prefer to observe some situations evolve. One being the fortunes of Karora Resources.
Unfortunately or fortunately for us, you know what they say about death and taxes. And, the former may catch up to me before KRR catches up to its potential.
If the realization comes about, in a timely manor, that gold is tremendously undervalued, I may get to see that potential realized sooner rather than after it's too late for me to enjoy the fruits of the labor being performed on behalf of Karora and its (His) potential beneficiaries.
