I think this guy wants to dollarize the Argentine economy to solve the 100+% inflation rate. Good luck with that.

I don't think he has a set it and forget it plan. He doesn't like central banks and if the country isn't doing well they probably have a hand in the cause. If he keeps the currency the central banks might not be easy to dislodge. Go to USD and the central banks might be easier to get rid of. After which there is a vacant spot to fill for another plan.
