Experience/knowing vs faith/trust
Knowing comes from first hand engagement and or experience as a character trait. Faith or trust comes from the lesser weighting of the character trait and just accepting another's unqualified authority on the matter. If I gave out a complex riddle and you could reason the answer for yourself you will know the answer. If I told you the answer and you just took it on faith that I am right then you trust me more than in yourself or in anther of your choosing. The last run in with Mr G was much as a clash of two different characters, one of a knowing nature and one of a faith nature. Notice the presentation of "the fact checkers" as evidence in the case. Well Mr G since I know your nature I will today offer you this fine magical stone for the exceptional price of 100K USD. But how do I know it's real? Sir I am an accredited purveyor of fine magical stones and am offended by your inferences at my veracity. But isn't that a lot of money? Sir your returns shall be manifold once you possess this fine magical stone. Our system is a faith in external authority more than a product of qualified internal knowing. The USD is a faith, religion is of a faith. No proof just someone other than self said it to be so. No longer suffering a fool than that which waits because someone told them it is so and evidence is going to show up someday or the tomorrow that never comes. Not the same as spirituality which may have a first hand experience component. Yes I know this could disturb some but many things that tend to be more truthful have that characteristic.Could have gone longer but enough for now.
