RE:RE:Leaf Rake 80% of Awards..I see it the opposite. If Canopy or Aurora want to own Canada they need LEAF to do it.
LEAF was voted by Canadian patients as the number one LP in the country. Their products are far and away the best in the business according to the voting on LIFT's awards as seen here:
LIFT 2017 Cannabis Awards Also, I'm hoping they did about $14m in revenues last quarter which would put them well ahead of Aurora's $11m last qtr at just over half the mkt cap. In other words the transaction would be accretive for either Aurora and for that matter Canopyas well.
Whomever of the two that lands LEAF would be the undisputed heavy weight champion of Canada no doubt about it. Therefore pretty much a no brainer.
If neither Canopy or Aurora has the brains or guts to make the move, then given the valuation metrics, LEAF would be a better take out candidate than any of the other large LP's for any BIG alcohol, tobacco or pharma.
In conclusion I think MedReleaf is in play here and it appears that the mkt agrees.
