RE:RE:hmmmVery good reply ..very informative and I am long oil so I'm not buying in to any of these companies to trade them. Reasons why I'm long oil include desputing the fact that some argue dependance on oil in decreasing ..in fact I see the opposite. Even fuel efficient cars require 60+ gallons of oil to manufacture. A tire alone takes 7 gallons of oil to produce. I'm also of the belief that if the saudi's are drilling their new wells off shore, (which costs 10-100x more$) then all the on shore reserves have been found and taped. World oil production per day peaked in 2008 ..there was a period in 2008 that the world produced more oil than ever and hasn't matched it since. With the worlds population increasing and emerging countries becoming more and more reliant on oil as us in the west are very reliant on oil, I'm taking a 5+ year outlook and for these reason I'm investing in some of the depleated oil companies. Is LEG the best of them ..no, but this sp is attractive if you are long. ..I think there will be mergers and takeouts before some of these mids are forced into bankrupcey but I'd like to hear more peoples opionions regardless if the support my views or not. Especially if they don't support my views. Thanks. I'm also buying DEE (Delphi) bc I'm bullish on nat gas long term ..they've hedged and debt isn't an issue and I've also bought PD and Deethree recently. All half positions. I'm 34 years old ..I think I won't see a day in my life time that we won't me extremely reliant on oil and gas
