LFE unit nav to Sept 22 = approx; $14.02
So spreadsheet is showing a loss of 21 cent s after the beatdown this week.... Commons have a value of $4.02 before a big payout to preferreds. LAst trade was at 3.28 on very low volume today

LFE holdings bounce back today
ALL 8 of the lifecos in the fund are up this am, and the CAD banks are flat. But the good news is there is still a lot of room to run up even just to get to a 10% discount on these shares.

First let me say I am big holder of LFE in part because of the discount but I believe your post overstates its atractiveness. It ignores the pref shares which trade around 9.70 for both FFN and DF and

LFE UNIT NAV in realtime at about $14.30
So spreadsheet showing a gain of about 7 cents since the update on AUG 31... Discount continues to be high despite the UNIT NAV higher than FFN , or DF, which both trade much higher and getting big

OOPS didnt see the updated number @ 14.23
Somehow got in wrong, and didnt update the new unit nav on my spreadsheet. SO UNIT NAV now is $14.27 discount is only about 21 %.

A move up of 4 cents since the update to the 15th....( my guesstimate) Discount now about 93 cents or over 21 %... wonder what will happen when it passes DFN in unit nav, has already passed DF

LFE had gains of 50 cents since the AUG 31 update, a bigger gain than any other Quadravest split fund common. And from a very low level. Discount here is about 87 cents at the close

LFE unit nav to Sept 14 = approx: $14.07
So back above the 14$ unit nav after a hiatus of a month or two... was a slow August for the lifecos. Trading at a bout 75 cent discount... or about 18.4 %
