BASF to increase usage of Vanadium in paints/coatingsThis has little to no effect on the present but also of a bit of interest as I was doing some reading, BASF is planning to "significantly" increase their production of some of their industrial paint coatings which use BiVO4 (Bismuth vanadate), and expects to use that production by 2017. Chemical usage makes up, depending who you ask, about 3-5% of total world demand, BASF and Dupont being two of the largest chemical factories.
