RE:MB: Largo at a glanceMB wrote: Largo’s second-quarter output of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) from its Maracs Menchen mine in Brazil was 2,562 tonnes, a decrease of 9.5% compared with 2,831 tonnes during the first quarter of 2020.
Q1-20 Production = 2,831T
Q2-20 Production = 2,562T
A decrease of 9.5% or 269T = 2,831T - 2,562T
We all know that April - 20 Production = 480T which was 464T less than the average monthly production of 944T/mth in Q1. So on the positive note the average monthly production of May & June 20 = 1,041T/mth or 10.3% higher than the 944T/mth average monthly production of Q1. It was definitely a strong performance to be celebrated: “The strong production in May and June further demonstrates the plant's ability to perform above its current nameplate capacity of 1,000 tonnes of V2O5 per month”
Largo’s May 12 NR: “The Company instead performed an enhanced preventative maintenance program in the chemical plant for approximately 15 days and, as a result, production in April 2020 was 480 tonnes of V2O5.”
