I told you they would cut the dividend....
See my post entitled "Cut The Dividend Already...." dated January 13, 2016 - LIQ management was living in a fantasy world thinking they could pay this kind of dividend while spending big money on expansion into the U.S. and having such a large percentage of their current assets tied up in inventory.......The market was screaming dividend cut with LIQ yielding well over 10% for quite some time now.....Finally, management did the right thing, but that doesn't get them out of their challenges with competition in their home market of Alberta (Great Canadian Liquor Stores, Costco, Solo, etc.) or the risk of their expansions into the U.S. paying off.....their upscale stores may not be of interest to people who just want their booze at the lowest price...
